About Federation PWDS
Our Work
Accessibility
We work with the government, private sector and other agencies in sensitising them on the need of having policies geared towards improving accessibility for persons with disabilities.
Habilitation & Rehabilitation
We have been lobbying the department of health where this function lies to put more resources in this sector. In addition to lobbying members of parliament to allocate more budgets in this sector.
Education
We have an appending bill on amendment of persons with disabilities Act 2003 which if enacted into law will improve accessibility of education to persons with disabilities.
CRPD
We are lobbying for more action globally on allocation of more resources to implement the CRPD convention through international cooperation.
Employment
We advocate for the full implementation of disability-inclusive employment policies, ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal opportunities in both public and private sectors.
Political Participation
We lobby for the enactment of the political inclusion provisions of persons with disabilities as voters, candidates, and political parties nominees for true inclusivity and participation.
Together we can drive change in the community by supporting initiatives that empower persons with disabilities.
